Emergency Byelaw Regulations

In accordance with Section 157 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 NEIFCA can make emergency byelaw regulations to deal with urgent and unforeseen issues.

This emergency byelaw has been extended for a further 4 months by the Fisheries Minister.

Penalties

Any person convicted of a breach of any emergency byelaw regulation could be subject to a maximum penalty of £50,000.
