An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Authority’s offshore team, based in Whitby, North Yorkshire.
NEIFCA is seeking to recruit a Second Engineer/Crewman to support its seagoing operations. If successful you would become part of a closely knit team involved in the day to day maintenance and operation of a ‘state of the art’ fisheries/patrol vessel.
Working under the direction of the Skipper and First Engineer you would form an essential part of the crew supporting the safe operations of a 26 m fisheries vessel including maintaining the engines and all ancillary equipment/vehicles/trailers etc. On occasions you would also be expected to act as the First Engineer.
NEIFCA is responsible for the conservation and management of marine resources between the river Tyne and the North East Lincolnshire coast and out to the six-mile limit.
Hours: Annual contractual averaged at 42 per week. Local Government and North Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority terms of appointment and conditions of service apply.
You will be expected to reside in the Whitby area.
